According to a statement by Adeleke’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, the governor won the overall winner in the categories of Infrastructure, Agriculture, Empowerment, Health, and Security, following a rigorous regional voting process that took place between 1st December and 31st December, 2025.

The award ceremony was held on Saturday, 24th January, 2026, at the Water Crest Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, with stakeholders, public officials, and development partners in attendance.
