The family of the late renowned international jurist, Justice Emmanuel Ayoola, has donated a collection of law books to the Law Library of the University of Ilesa, Osun State.

The family donated the books during their visit to the university recently.

The team comprised Mr Leke Ayoola, son of the late Jurist, Barr. Dapo Opeyemi, a Lawyer in the Ayoola Chambers and Mrs Olayinka Adewole,

According to a statement by Mr Babatunde Fanawopo,
Senior Assistant Registrar, Corporate Service and Information Unit of the university, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Taiwo Olufemi Asaolu, FCA, while welcoming the team, expressed profound gratitude to the Ayoola family for this selfless act.

Asaolu said the law books, a treasure trove of knowledge for aspiring lawyers and scholars, would undoubtedly enrich the academic environment at the university.

“We appreciate this wonderful gesture and assure the family that their contribution will not go unnoticed,” he said, acknowledging the late Justice’s pivotal role in shaping legal frameworks.

Prof. Asaolu further highlighted Justice Ayoola’s commitment to justice, human rights, and good governance, noting that his legacy continues to inspire both the academic community and society at large. The university, he said, is proud to be a beneficiary of the late jurist’s enduring impact.

Responding on behalf of the family, Barr. Dapo Opeyemi conveyed their joy in perpetuating Justice Ayoola’s passion for impacting humanity.

“The late Justice Ayoola was passionate about leaving a lasting legacy, and we are glad to see this come to fruition through this donation,” he said, emphasising the family’s continued support for academic excellence.

Barr. Opeyemi underscored that Justice Ayoola’s life’s work was a testament to his belief in empowering future generations, and this donation was a fitting tribute to his ideals. The family, he assured, remains committed to fostering academic growth and development.

Following the ceremony, the Ayoola family was given a tour of the Law Library, where the donated books are housed.
