Saudi Pro League Warns Cristiano Ronaldo Over Transfer Complaints
The Saudi Pro League has cautioned Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo, saying “no individual – however significant – determines decisions beyond their own club.”
The warning comes after the 41-year-old expressed frustration over Al Nassr’s inactivity in the January transfer window.
Ronaldo, reportedly unhappy with the club’s failure to sign new players, has already missed one league match and is said to be considering sitting out Friday’s game against Al-Ittihad.
In a statement on Thursday, the league emphasised that clubs operate independently, even when it comes to finances.
“The Saudi Pro League is built on a simple idea: every club works independently but follows the same rules.
“Like any top player, he wants to win. But no one, not even a superstar, can decide what happens outside their own team,” it said.
