Why Tinubu’s Govt Is Afraid About My Return – El-Rufai
Former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, on Friday suggested that those in power are uncomfortable with his return to Nigeria, declaring that the political struggle to unseat the current administration has just begun.
He made the claim during an interview with BBC Hausa, monitored on Friday.
“You know, when that government came, I was among the few people who came out and told her we would oppose it and remove it. There was nothing I did not say.
“If they had anything against me like they claim to have against others, the matter would have long been settled. But even if you want to accuse me, make sure you prove the accusation. I am waiting; whoever invites me, I will go,” he said.
El-Rufai further disclosed that his disagreement with the current administration was based on differences in objectives.
Speaking on his relationship with President Bola Tinubu, the former governor said he has no personal rift with the president.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that security operatives attempted to arrest El-Rufai on Thursday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
