Four Worshippers Killed As Lakurawa Terrorists Attack Kebbi Mosque
Four worshippers have been killed after terrorists suspected to be members of the Lakurawa group attacked a mosque in Dadinkowa town, Maiyama Local Government Area of Kebbi State, during prayers, leaving several others injured.
The assailants reportedly stormed the mosque while worshippers were gathered and opened fire indiscriminately inside the place of worship.
Sources told SaharaReporters that the gunmen arrived in the community heavily armed and went straight to the mosque before unleashing the attack on unsuspecting residents.
Four people were confirmed dead at the scene after sustaining gunshot wounds.
Several others were hit by bullets and suffered varying degrees of injuries, from critical to minor.
A community source said the injured victims were rushed to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities had yet to confirm the exact number of those wounded.
Security agencies have also not issued any official statement on the incident.
