Court Adjourns Malami, Son’s Terrorism Trial To March
The Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday adjourned the alleged terrorism trial of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and his son, Abdulaziz, to March 10, 2026.
The adjournment came after the Director of Public Prosecutions, Mr Rotimi Oyedepo, requested more time to study the case file.
He explained that the case was recently transferred from the Department of State Services to the Department of Public Prosecutions, making it necessary for him to familiarise himself with the matter.

Defence counsel, Mr Adedayo Adedeji, did not oppose the adjournment but urged the court to strike out the case if the prosecution fails to commence trial on the next adjourned date, alleging a lack of diligent prosecution.
Justice Joyce Abdulmalik adjourned the matter to March 10 and directed the prosecution to open its case on that date.
