Emirates Suspends Dubai Flights Indefinitely
Emirates Airline has suspended all flights to and from Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) with immediate effect, citing ongoing airspace closures in parts of the Middle East.
In a post on its official X account, the airline said the move is a safety measure amid escalating regional tensions and restrictions affecting multiple routes.
“All flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice. Please do not go to the airport. Emirates will provide updates as soon as they are available,” the statement read.
The airline urged affected passengers to remain patient. “We thank our customers for their understanding as we continue to monitor the situation closely,” it added.
Earlier advisories had indicated that commercial operations would remain halted until 23:59 UAE time on March 7, but the latest update extends the suspension indefinitely as authorities assess the security situation.
Other airlines in the region have also altered flight paths or suspended services due to airspace restrictions linked to military activity and security concerns.
Passengers planning to travel through Dubai are advised to check Emirates’ updates and confirm their flight status before heading to the airport.
