Resolve Your Differences Or We Pass Judgement – Appeal Court Tells PDP
The Court of Appeal sitting in Ibadan has advised factions within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to resolve their differences in the interest of the party or risk a court ruling on the matter.
The advice followed a Motion on Notice seeking the withdrawal of an appeal filed on March 4, 2026, by counsel to the appellant, Mr. Fredrick Ladapo.
During proceedings on Friday, Justice Biobele Abraham Georgewill asked counsel to both parties to clarify the applications and processes before the appellate court.
He described the crisis in the PDP as a “family affair” that had gone sour, adding that the notice of withdrawal created room for settlement.
Justice Georgewill directed the factions to meet with their lawyers and agree on terms of settlement, which would be adopted as the court’s judgment.
The case was adjourned to March 11.
