Panic as Fire Breaks Out at Head of Service Secretariat in Abuja
Fire broke out on Monday morning in parts of the Head of Service Secretariat in Abuja, sparking panic among staff and visitors.
The Federal Fire Service promptly responded after receiving a distress call at around 8:20 a.m., dispatching teams from its Garki and Wuse stations.
The flames were brought under control shortly after arrival, the agency confirmed.
Public Relations Officer Mr. Paul Abraham said the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, adding that investigators would be deployed to establish what led to the outbreak.
He also said the full extent of the damage remains unclear as firefighters continue efforts to completely extinguish the blaze. No casualties have been reported so far.
