Accord Rep Lukman Mudashiru, Oluwo Close Ranks, Promise Enhance Communication
The lawmaker representing Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Lukman Mudashiru, on Monday held a meeting Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi, following his ban from the palace.
It would be recalled that Oluwo in a statement shared on his Facebook page last Friday, accused Mudashiru of neglecting Iwo traditional institutions and barred him from entering his palace.
The monarch in the statement, said by virtue of his position, he deserves a stewardship explanation from the current lawmaker representing the constituency, which he has failed to render.
However, the lawmaker in a statement on Monday, said he has resolved his differences with the monarch during the meeting facilitated by the President, Iwo Board of Trustees (IBOT), Professor Lai Olurode.
He said Oluwo during the meeting, mentioned that the reasoning for banning him from the palace was he (lawmaker) had been instigated against him.
He said, “In the spirit of communal development, Iwo Board of Trustees (IBOT) President, Professor Olurode facilitated a meeting between Hon. Mudashiru and the revered monarch in his glamorous beautiful palace hall.
“During the fruitful discussion, Oba Akanbi commended the lawmaker, stating that he had been following some of his federal-funded programmes, including multimillion naira college and university scholarships for indigent students, infrastructure development at the Federal College of Education in Iwo, road constructions, streetlight installations, purchase of a vehicle for the Office of Chief Imam of Iwoland.
“However, Oluwo mentioned that he heard some people had instigated the lawmaker against him and that was why he decided to invoke the ban,” the statement noted.

The statement added that Oluwo thereafter, commiserated with the lawmaker on the demise of his mother who died last week and prayed for her soul to rest in peace.
