It’s Now Beyond Insecurity — Adeyanju Blasts Tinubu After Boko Haram Kills Brigadier-General
Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has said the repeated deadly attacks by terrorists in parts of the country can no longer be described as mere insecurity.
Adeyanju made the remark while reacting to reports that a Brigadier-General of the Nigerian Army was killed in a recent attack allegedly carried out by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State.
OSUN DEFENDER had reported that the senior military officer was killed during coordinated attacks on four communities in the state, Banki Ruwa, Ngamdu, Benisheik and Pulka, all located near the border with Cameroon.
Responding in a post shared on his X handle, Adeyanju described the worsening security situation as a serious threat to the country’s survival.
The lawyer also blamed the administration of President Bola Tinubu for the deteriorating security crisis, accusing the government of paying more attention to politics than national safety.
He wrote, “Boko Haram has killed a Brigadier General. This is no longer insecurity but a threat to our existence as a nation, yet all the Tinubu government cares about is foisting a one-party state on the country.”
