Leaders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) on Friday met in Abuja for a strategic engagement ahead of the 2027 general election.

During the meeting, the PRP, through its National Chairman, Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, expressed strong solidarity with the ADC over its ongoing dispute with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other government institutions.

The PRP also condemned the assaults and anti-democratic actions being directed at the ADC by certain forces, stressing that such conduct not only undermines the nation’s democracy but also jeopardises its stability.

Responding, the National Chairman of the ADC, Senator David Mark, appreciated the unwavering support from the PRP, acknowledging that the PRP is the only political party publicly standing with them during their trying times.

The former Senate President, however, expressed hope that the positive relationship between the two parties would remain harmonious and prioritise the collective interests of the nation.

Also present at the meeting were ADC National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi; PRP National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Muhammed Ishaq; Malam Salihu Lukman, among other distinguished party officials.
