Onanuga Vs Aregbesola: ‘Enough For The Stupid’
- By Frederick Odujole
In response to Bayo Onanuga’s ugly diatribe against Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s momentous oration at ADC Convention, yesterday in Abuja.
It’s the same “unintended consequences” that renders your administration an indolent and incompetent one. How can anyone be talking about unintended consequences of the major economic policy of a governance contraption like APC?
Without your deep knowledge in volumes of national economic interplay and consequences of major interventions like subsidy removal and floating national currency, your aggregate imposition in government is dead on arrival. You are incapable of anything positive or ingenious
The simple fact is that these people didn’t see Nigeria as a resourceful nation but a playground for their nefarious politics of egregious financial accumulations
For all the documented impediments that tinubu combined with Wike put on the pathway of the holding ADC Convention, Onanuga should have been cautious about such reckless attacks. It is quite clear the willpower of the ordinary Nigerian seeking out worthy leadership cannot be easily undermined. The people are prepared to go the extra mile to be governed by the best human materials available
For three years now, what was done with Nigeria is the best they can do. Yet they imagine prolongation of their evil days in this nation.
A qualified Grade II teacher of Yoruba extraction could have produced something the world would have seen as unique templates of leadership given the same opportunity tinubu had .
Tinubu and his henchmen are using their influence and proximity to power for planning the downfall of their political adversaries only. Now they have nothing to show for their term in governance except their trying to shout down constructive criticisms.
These payed henchmen help to put to early end Tinubu’s government because they are pathetically dishonest bunch. They can never say the truth to the same power they are supposed to serve. They are only there to reap where they did not sewn.
Now in his bitter state of mind he singles out the criticism on Ogbeni. And he made all sorts of mindless accusations of Aregbesola intervention in leadership in Osun State as governor and in Abuja as Minister. What about Ogbeni’s precedence as Works Commissioner in Lagos state? His deliberate omission is actually a commission of his evil mindset. He went as far as mouthing disregard to the unique socialist agenda to put Osun state in steady motion for development. How can an educated Yoruba criticise socialist principles of development?
Without such pedestal or principles the Old Western Region couldn’t have attained such prominence that had set us clearly apart. Obafemi Awolowo made it clear in all his political approach to leadership that he was a socialist. He even went further to define his own templates in Socialism which he proudly called “Egalitarian Socialism”. For Onanuga to bad mouth Ogbeni’s foundational approach to governance in Oshun from a socialist intervention shows, his nuances are foundationally flawed
What Bayo Onanuga cannot deny in his diseased political mind, is that Aregbe is a permanent political leadership factor in Osun state. Whomsoever shall ignore that fact shall pay a very heavy price for such insane omission. Everywhere Aregbesola goes in Osun stare and indeed in entire Yoruba land he is not received as a prince but as a King!.
If Onanuga’s assertion were true, how come Aregbesola gets red carpet reception everywhere he goes?
You people better tend your politics with commonsense. We are yet tempering a very serious political situation with all Omoluabi principles that are part of our culture. If you embark too haphazardly on your reckless politics and you provoke Aregbe to go personal with Tinubu, the consequences of such outpouring will be yours to deal with forever. You all are walking on a rickety bridge that can cave in anytime
Don’t think you are hoodwinking anybody in the Yoruba political context. Yoruba land is vast in wisdom and robust in our technics for information. There’s no secret anywhere, but the willpower for respect that is an important tenet of our value system.
If Bayo Onanuga won’t control his political diarrhea in the public, he will soon get what he is asking for. He will soon put his principal into a shame that’s equal to dancing naked in a market square.
Our people say ” a word is enough for the wise”. But I say “enough for the stupid”.
From now it shall be measure for measure. It’s time people know bastards from the trueborns.
