ADC Raises Alarm Over Alleged Plot by APC to Disrupt Ibadan Summit

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is making efforts to disrupt its planned opposition summit in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed this in a post on X on Saturday, claiming that the ADC had uncovered a plot to frustrate the gathering scheduled for April 25.

“We have uncovered plans by the ruling APC to disrupt the summit being held by the opposition parties in Ibadan,” Abdullahi said.

He, however, declared that the party would not be intimidated by the alleged move.

Abdullahi accused the APC of consistently frustrating opposition activities, noting that similar challenges were encountered during previous attempts to hold meetings in Abuja.

“After denying us the use of venues in Abuja, they now will not leave us alone to hold our meetings,” he stated.

“They say they are not scared, but they are behaving like people who are terrified.”

He maintained that the opposition would go ahead with the summit despite the alleged interference.

“We will not be deterred, because we are on the side of the Nigerian people,” he added.

The ADC had also raised similar concerns during a previous convention in Abuja, alleging a last-minute move to disrupt the event.
