A Non-Governmental Organisation, One House Development Initiative (OHI) has called for the training of teachers in Osun State on how to handle students/adolescents/teenagers.

The group also recommended that schools in the state should have more toilet facilities for students, with a framework for maintenance.

OHI made the call after a visit to Laro Grammar School, Osogbo, as part of their boy child programme recently.

In a release by Tunbosun Olabomi, the Team Lead, One House Initiative, the organisation said it notices students being stigmatised for past misdemeanours, which should never be, but rather for the teachers to render support to the erring students.

Olabomi stressed that the teachers need to be trained on how to interact with students within and outside the school premises.

Though, the NGO commended the neatness of Laro Grammar School boys and their environment, describing it as the neatest so far, with the aid of one of their teachers, Mrs. Bode Obanla.

The students were also advised to shun social vices such as internet fraud, robbery, rape, rituals and political thuggery
