Pity My Soul – Chike Says Amid Alleged Scandal with Frank Edoho’s Ex-Wife, Sandra

Nigerian singer Chike has sparked reactions after sharing a cryptic post amid the ongoing scandal surrounding his alleged illicit affair with media personality Frank Edoho’s estranged wife, Sandra Edoho.

Rumours have been circulating that Chike was romantically involved with Sandra after Frank claimed he caught his then-wife cheating with a musician, though he did not mention any name. Despite the media personality not identifying the singer involved, controversial social media critic VeryDarkMan released a video analysing the situation and warning that the allegations could damage Chike’s career.

According to him, a large portion of Chike’s earnings comes from wedding performances, and husbands may now feel uncomfortable hiring the singer over fears tied to the scandal.

Amid the controversy, Chike posted on Sunday night, writing simply: “Pity my soul!”

Although the singer did not directly connect the message to the allegations, many fans interpreted it as a subtle response to critics accusing him without concrete proof. Meanwhile, Chike was recently seen at a cinema in Lagos signing autographs and taking photographs with female fans, many of whom openly expressed support for him while singing his hit song, Running To You.

Money Not Always Solution To Depression – Timini Egbuson

Famous Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson has shared his thoughts on the relationship between money, depression and happiness, stressing that wealth does not always guarantee emotional well-being.

The actor reacted to a viral post on X claiming that many people battling depression only needed financial relief.

“You’re not depressed, you need 20 million naira,” the viral post stated.

Responding to the claim, Timini wrote: “It’s not always about money sha.”

His statement triggered widespread debate online, with many agreeing that depression can stem from emotional trauma, anxiety, grief and other personal struggles that money cannot solve. Others, however, argued that financial hardship remains one of the biggest causes of depression for many Nigerians and that access to money would significantly ease their burdens.

Why I Didn’t Kneel To Propose – Made Kuti

Afrobeat singer Made Kuti has explained why he chose not to kneel while proposing to his wife, Inedoye Onyenso, saying marriage should be viewed as a mutual decision rather than an act of pleading.

The Grammy-nominated musician made the revelation during a recent episode of the Timeless Podcast on the Nix Network YouTube channel.

According to him, both partners should willingly choose each other without one person appearing to beg for acceptance.

“I did not go down on my knees when proposing to my wife because I told her it was a mutual decision. We are not begging each other to be with each other,” he said.

Made Kuti and Inedoye Onyenso got married in a private ceremony in Lagos in November 2023. The singer also disclosed that his wife was once his school daughter.

Earlier in 2025, Made Kuti responded to criticisms surrounding their marriage after some social media users accused the couple of “mixing blood” because of their ethnic backgrounds. The singer dismissed such views as ethnic bigotry and described them as a “slave mentality.”

Why I Have A Problem With Wizkid – Carter Efe

Content creator and streamer Carter Efe has opened up about his relationship with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, revealing that while he deeply admires the singer’s music, he has issues with his personality.

Speaking during an interview with BBC Pidgin, Carter Efe praised Wizkid’s artistry and influence but admitted feeling disappointed that the support he showed the singer over the years was never reciprocated.

“My relationship with him? I love Wizkid. I won’t lie. I love Wizkid. I love his craft, man. But I have issues with his personality. I showed that guy love, he didn’t show me love. But I still love his music and style,” he said.

The tension largely stems from Carter Efe’s 2022 hit song Machala, which was created as a tribute to Wizkid out of admiration. The song became a massive success and boosted Efe’s popularity, but Wizkid never publicly acknowledged either the track or the content creator behind it.

Despite his disappointment, Carter Efe maintained that the song was never about money or fame, but simply a sincere appreciation for an artist he greatly respects.
