Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko, has alleged that the results of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in the region were manipulated by the Delta State Government.

Nwoko insisted that he was the rightful winner of the primary election.

OSUN DEFENDER recalls that former Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, was declared winner of the APC primary.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News, Nwoko rejected the outcome of the exercise, claiming he won the election based on results from the 98 wards in Delta North.

According to him, he possesses video evidence from all the wards to support his claim and plans to submit the materials to the party leadership.

“The APC primaries for Delta North were conducted across 98 wards. I have video evidence from each ward showing that I won the election, and I intend to present it to the party,” he said.

He further alleged that officials handling the exercise informed contestants midway that ward-level results would not be announced, with assurances that the final outcome would be declared at the national level.

Nwoko, however, claimed that a result from a single ward allegedly linked to Okowa was eventually used to announce the winner.

“The governor of Delta State is colluding with Senator Okowa,” he alleged.
