Adeleke Dismisses Rumour Of Bandit Invasion In Osun, Says Schools Are Secure
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed rumours of bandits entering the state, describing the reports as “false alarms” spread by opposition elements to create panic.
The governor in a statement on Tuesday by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, a copy obtained by OSUN DEFENDER on Tuesday, urged residents to ignore the rumours and go about their normal activities without fear.
The governor said the Ministry of Education and the relevant security agencies have worked out a security strategy that is being implemented.
Adeleke said fact checks from border areas and across the state confirmed there was no case of kidnapping in Osun schools.

“I task our people to go about their normal activities without fear. Our government has taken steps to secure our schools
“The Ministry of Education and the relevant security agencies have worked out a security strategy that is being implemented.
“Parents and guardians should not panic as the said alarm was false and the handiwork of opposition elements seeking to plunge the state into chaos,” he added.
Adeleke warned against incitement to criminal conduct, saying the state’s local intelligence network is monitoring border towns and identifying hotspots.
“No stone will be left unturned to guarantee the security of our schools, our pupils, residents, citizens and properties,” he said.
