Adeleke Raises Alarm Over Plot to Disrupt Osun Motor Parks
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has raised alarm over alleged plans by “disgruntled elements” to destabilise motor parks across the state, directing the Commissioner of Police to take swift preventive action.
In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesman, Olawale Rasheed, the governor said credible intelligence indicated that certain individuals linked to opposition circles were planning to invade motor parks across various local government areas.
He described the alleged plot as a deliberate attempt to disrupt public peace and create chaos within the transport sector of the state.
Adeleke noted that motor parks had enjoyed relative peace and stability since 2023 and warned that his administration would not allow a return to violence or disorder.
He stated, “Credible reports indicted some opposition elements in this untoward plan against the peace of Osun State. We already have all the details and I warn them to drop their sinister moves.”
The governor added that he had directed the Commissioner of Police to take pre-emptive steps to forestall any breakdown of law and order.
He said, “I have further directed the Commissioner of Police to take pre-emptive action. The current peace and stability of our dear state must be sustained at all cost.”
