It was a new administrative order in Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, formerly known as Ondo State University, Akungba Akoko, as the Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Olugbenga Ige, presented the newly appointed Registrar of the Institution
Mr. Gbenga Arajulu, who emerged as the new Registrar was presented to members of the University Community during the monthly prayer meeting of the University held last thursday, in the University Multipurpose Hall.
Reports have it that the Governing Council of the University made the approval last week at its 75th Regular Meeting which officially affirmed Mr Arajulu as the fifth substantive Registrar of the Institution
According the council, the appointment of the new Registrar was established to take effective from April 1, 2021 for easy administrative works.
The Acting Provost, while congratulating the new University Registrar, described him as a committed, dilligent and dutiful administrator, who rose through the ranks to the pinnacle of his chosen career.
Prof. I’ve also used the medium to implore members of staff to embrace patient and display total understanding with the University Management over the irregular payment of salaries in the recent times, as he reinstated the hope of a better days ahead for them all
“My administration will keep demonstrating its commitment to staff welfare as demonstrated by the recent promotion exercises and approval of earned allowance for non-teaching staff.
“I am calling for collective efforts and unity in moving the University forward.”
The new Registrar in his response, pledged to reposition and sanitize the University by joining hands the Vice Chancellor and with every right thinking stakeholders to ensure a smooth, efficient, and effective running of the system.
Mr Arajulu, the new Registrar, said, “i admonished administrative and technical officers to work dilligently, shun all acts of impunity and put in their best to ensure the success of his tenure.
“My aim is to improve on the existing structures by building a world class registry system that will be a model for others. “
