Abducted JCI President Ibukun Rescued
The abducted 2025 President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Ibadan Elite, Mrs. Ibukun Otesile has been rescued.
Otesile, who is the daughter of Reverend Lekan Babatunde and who also serves as the deputy coordinator of the Child Protection Network (CPN), Oyo State chapter, was kidnapped last Thursday at the entrance of her father’s residence in General Gas area, Akobo, Ibadan.
Security sources in the state confirmed her release to Fresh FM on Wednesday night.
Dr. Rosemary Osogbo, state coordinator of the Child Protection Network, also confirmed the development, saying Otesile had been safely reunited with her family.
In a social media post, the civil society organisation expressed gratitude for her return.
“To God be the glory, Ibukunoluwa is fine. In the meantime, the family would like to crave your indulgence for some privacy to allow her and the family recover. We would not be entertaining visitors for now,” the organistion wrote.
