Abuja Mourns As FCT Head Of Service Dies
The Pioneer Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory, Mrs Grace Adayilo, is dead.
It was gathered that the late Adayilo reportedly died in the early hours of Monday, 1st of September, 2025.
The Special Assistant on Media to the HoS, Anthony Odey, confirmed it in a short text.
“Yes, please,” the text message read.
Odey, however, gave no further details surrounding the circumstances of her death.
Meanwhile, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has expressed grief over the death of the pioneer Head of the Civil Service of the FCT, Mrs Grace Adayilo.
President Bola Tinubu had approved Adayilo’s appointment on October 6, 2024, with immediate effect.
Prior to that, she served as the Permanent Secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.
Reacting to the sad development during a media chat on Monday in Abuja, Wike described Adayilo’s death as a sad one.
He said, “Her death is really sad and unfortunate.”
