Despite its little capacity of membership and political clout, the Accord Party in the State of Osun has boasted that it will provide good leadership if the party takes power from the ruling party in this year’s Governorship Election.
The Secretary of the Accord Party, Ife Central branch, Hon. Adedeji Olayinka disclosed this in an interview our correspondent in Ile Ife.
The Accord Party did not win a single unit, ward, local government or senatorial district in the 2014 elections that produced the sitting Governor Rauf Aregbesola for a second term in office.
The All Progressives Congress APC has also vowed to reclaim the seat and beat all parties hands down in the September, 2018 elections as a testimony to the unprecedented achievements of Governor Aregbesola in his two terms of governing the State of Osun.
Olayinka who opined that residents of the state are tired of both the APC and PDP administration with the Accord party being an alternative.
According to him, “the reformed Accord Party is working assiduously to make life more meaningful for Osun and as you can see all hands are on deck to ensure the party provides the people with good governance rooted in democratic ethos.”
