ADC: You Lack Ministerial Discipline — Shaibu Slams Keyamo Over Attacks on Party Leaders
Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Phrank Shaibu, has accused the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, of lacking the discipline expected of a cabinet member over his repeated verbal attacks on leaders and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Shaibu said Keyamo should not expect courtesy after persistently insulting Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and the ADC, describing the minister’s conduct as unbecoming of his office.
He was reacting to Keyamo’s criticism of Atiku and Obi following Obi’s defection to the ADC, as well as the minister’s warning to the party’s spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was closely monitoring the coalition party.
In a post on X, Shaibu accused Keyamo of resorting to “street language” rather than the restraint and decorum required of a minister, stressing that respect is reciprocal and public office demands discipline.
Shaibu added that provocative remarks should not be met with silence, insisting that those who bring insults should expect responses in equal measure.
