The former speaker of the House of Assembly, State of Osun, Rt. Hon. Adejare Bello, has urged the residents of Ede and its environs to vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the September 22nd governorship election.
Bello who was also formally welcomed into the party by its Chairman, Prince Gboyega Famodun, made this plea at the party’s Mega rally in Ede on Friday.
According to him, “I am happy to be here, there is this rumour circulating that I collected N300 million these people are just trying to incite you against me. They are trying to spoil my good image, the rumour is nothing but a lie.
“It is now time to fight for Ede, I left PDP because of the way things are, those people are selfish and we should not agree with them. I am happy the roads of Ede will be done now, don’t be afraid, lets all come out and vote massively on the day of election. I swear I only support the development of Ede and that is what Oyetola’s regime is going to offer us.”
In his address, Famodun stated that Aregbesola has fulfilled his promises and that the people should vote for the continuous development of the State.
“Aregbesola worked for everybody irrespective of town and religion. Government is not a dancing matter and Bello Adejare can attest to the fact that Oyetola and his deputy are the best for job.”
Also speaking, the party’s candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, promised to continue the visionary mission and infrastructural developments of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. He also vowed to construct the Station road to Oke Gada if elected.
