Adeleke Absent As South-West Governors Visit Akeredolu
Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke was absent as governors from four South-West states visited their Ondo State counterpart, Rotimi Akeredolu, in Ibadan, on Tuesday.
The governors in attendance were Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Seyi Makinde (Oyo) and Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti).
This was disclosed in a statement by Akeredolu’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde.
Olatunde said the governors discussed national and other issues affecting the region and the people.
Adeleke was not represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, neither was there any reason for his absence.
At the meeting, Akeredolu who is also the Chairman of the South-West governors, thanked his colleagues “for their solidarity,” and “harped on continuous collaboration among the South-West States.”
On his part, Governor Makinde said the governors in the region are supporting and praying for Akeredolu.
The meeting comes six weeks after Akeredolu returned to the country from Germany after being absent from Ondo for about three months.
