Adeleke Allays Ijesa Muslims Fear, Says No Plan To Demolish Ilesa Central Mosque
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has allayed the fear of the Ijesa Muslim Community over the alleged plan to demolish the Ilesa Central Mosque.
Adeleke assured the Muslim faithful that there was no plan to demolish the Central Mosque
Osun Defender reports that the Muslim community had called out the Governor over an attempt by the contractor handling the ongoing road dualisation in the area to bulldoze the mosque.
But the Governor in a statement by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, noted that the assurance given during the โIpade Imoleโ remains.

The statement said, โGovernor Adeleke has received the plea of the Ijesa Muslim leaders and has directed that fresh assurance be given that the mosque is not billed for demolition in the ongoing road dualisation.
โThe Muslim ummah should not entertain any fear as the mosque remains intact. Only the extended canopies will be affected, not the main building as earlier indicated.
โThe Governor has also directed officials of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to interface with the Muslim leaders on the subject matter.”
