Adeleke Enrolls Osun Inmates Into Health Insurance Scheme
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has approved the free enrollment of inmates in correctional centres across the state into the Osun Health Insurance Scheme (OHIS).
This was announced by the Executive Secretary of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, Dr Razaq Akindele during a press briefing on Tuesday.
Akindele explained that the approval followed a passionate appeal by the Osun State Controller of Corrections, Olalekan Oluwadele, during a courtesy visit to the governor.
“Since inmates are also residents of Osun who will eventually be reintegrated into society, their health remains the concern of Mr. Governor. This gesture is from a clear heart, devoid of political inclination, and further shows Osun State Government’s readiness to collaborate with federal and international agencies for the benefit of our people,” he said.
