The Osun State Government, on Thursday, said the state’s Internally Generated Revenue has increased by 100 per cent compared to the previous administration.
This was as it approved newly reviewed state policies on science, technology and innovations, among other deliberations.
The approval was given at the State Executive Council meeting presided over by the state governor, Ademola Adeleke.
The state government, however, failed to disclose the amount it generated internally since assuming office.
According to a statement issued after the meeting by the Commissioner of Information and Public Enlightenment, Barr Kolapo Alimi, the state had no state ICT policy or policy framework on the digital economy until the advent of the present administration.
The statement noted that the Council also commenced deliberations on the proposed amendments to the State Procurement Act.

“While reviewing security reports across the local governments and area council, the Council further adopted various strategies to consolidate the status of Osun State as one of the most peaceful states of the Federation,” the statement stated.
