Adeleke Probes Oyetola’s Visitation To Alma Mata During School Hours

GOVERNOR Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has ordered an investigation into the visit of a former governor of the state, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, to his alma mata, Ifeoluwa Grammar School, Osogbo, during school hours.

Oyetola had on Monday visited the school in what seemed to be an arranged event. 

However, the Special Adviser to the Governor on School Monitoring, Mr. Akin Ajetunmobi, according to a report in the bulletin of the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment, said Adeleke has ordered full investigation into the matter because the incident happened during school hours. 

Ajetunmobi stressed that the school environment should be purposely for teaching and learning activities, stressing that students should not be dragged into any form of partisan politics. 

Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Secondary Education, Hon. Sunday Komolafe, charged school principals to be alive to their responsibilities of protecting the pupils under their custody. 

He explained that thorough investigation will be carried out into the matter to forestall future occurrence as those involved have been invited for questioning.
