Governor Ademola Adeleke has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to good governance and service delivery in Osun State, saying residents have continued to benefit from what he described as impactful and people-focused leadership over the past three years.

The Governor, through his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, said the Adeleke-led administration has recorded significant progress in infrastructure development and workers’ welfare, despite criticisms from opposition figures and some civil society groups.

According to the statement, the government has prioritised the payment of outstanding salary arrears, ensured career progression for public servants, accelerated bond issuance for pensioners and expanded healthcare coverage for retirees.

“In Osun State today, it is beyond argument that Governor Adeleke has delivered for the people. No matter where one looks, the effect of good governance is obvious and widely acknowledged by the people,” Rasheed said.

He also listed ongoing and completed infrastructure projects across the state, including road construction, bridge works, and the upgrade of health facilities to meet World Health Organisation (WHO) standards. Public schools, he said, have been renovated and equipped to improve learning conditions.

The spokesperson further noted that the government had procured 31 new tractors and agricultural implements to support farmers and boost food production — an intervention he said was not achieved by the previous administration over a 12-year period.

Governor Adeleke, in the statement, criticised opposition voices and individuals who continue to fault his administration, describing them as unwilling to acknowledge progress made in the state.

Rasheed dismissed comments credited to Osun APC Chieftain, Mr. Sunday Akere, describing his assessment of the administration as flawed.

He also rejected claims made by the Osun Masterminds group, alleging political bias and external sponsorship of the organisation’s criticism.

“The Governor remains focused on governance and will not be distracted by individuals or groups fixated on the politics of 2026. His concern is to continue working for the people of Osun State,” the spokesperson said.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and not be swayed by what he termed “misleading narratives,” assuring them that the administration would continue to prioritise development and improved welfare for all.
