Adeleke Unveils Redesigned Osun Logo
The Osun State Government on Tuesday unveiled the new logo for the state, a week after a logo crafting competition was held to determine the most suitable logo for the state.
Recall that Governor Ademola Adeleke signed a bill on Wednesday, April 7, 2024, adopting a new logo for the state, but the design released on social media was met with criticism.
The design generated a lot of criticism from citizens and residents of the state, with the opposition party berating the government over the poorly designed logo.

But Adeleke, while commenting on the decision to have a logo drafting competition, said, “As a listening leader, I have asked that we open the change of logo to more public input through this one-week competition.”
The government also named a five-man panel of judges to review the entries and nominate the best top three, which was later increased to five, from over three hundred submissions.
In a release by the spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, on Tuesday, Governor Adeleke, while unveiling the new logo at the 2nd edition of IPADE IMOLE today, congratulated the judges, the contestants, and the final winner.
“This is to inform the general public, that after a keenly-contested Logo Competition, which commenced on the 18th and terminated on the 26th of April, a final winner of the Osun State New Logo Competition has emerged.”
“Mr. Governor has also expressed his appreciation to the 5-man panel of Judges, which was saddled with the task of filtering out the best entries under 72 hours, in line with the parameters laid down for the contestants as well as the review process.
“The Osun State Governor, His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, congratulates the Judges, the contestants, and the final winner.”
