A former secretary to the Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, on Tuesday, decamped to the Accord Party.

According to a statement by his media office, Adeoti announced the decision to work with Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is contesting under the Accord Party, during a town hall meeting in Osogbo.

The statement said the Iwo-born politician, while addressing the gathering, said his decision followed extensive consultations with his followers.

He noted that supporting Adeleke’s reelection was due to the visible transformation and developmental progress recorded in Osun over the past three years.

The former SSG who contested the 2018 gubernatorial election and came fourth in December, announced that he would be taking a break from politics, citing family pressure.
