AFCON 2021 Q: Osimhen’s Brace Against Lesotho Keeps Eagles Flying

Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen took the centre stage on Sunday as the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated the Crocodiles of Lesotho after fighting back from a goal deficit.

Gernot Rohr’s men defeated Lesotho 4-2 in their second Group L qualifying game for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Lille star Victor Osimhen took centre stage in Maseru with two goals and two assists as the Super Eagles showed resilience to turn around a goal deficit and grab maximum points.

A brace by Victor Osimhen and goals by Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze helped Nigeria defeat Lesotho 4-2 in their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations Group L qualifier in Maseru on Sunday.

Masoabi Nkoto scored Lesotho’s first goal in the 11th minute, while their second came via a Chidozie Awaziem own goal.

Rohr made two changes to his starting XI with Nantes forward Moses Simon and Leganes defender Chidozie Awaziem replacing Samuel Kalu and Jamiliu Collins, respectively.
