After Osun Defender Report, OSPOLY Penalises Alleged Female Student Assaulter
The Management of Osun State Polytechnic, iree, has penalised one Mr. Akande, a non-teaching staff of the institution who allegedly assaulted a female student in the examination hall.
Osun Defender had reported the case of the staffer who works at the counseling unit of the institution and allegedly slapped a female HND 1 Mass Communication student, Folorunsho Tobi, after she directed her colleagues on the appropriate place to submit their examination booklets in the exam hall.
Osun Defender gathered that the victim and the alleged assaulter were invited to a panel at the Students Affairs Unit of the institution where they were both quizzed.
However, the panel after proper investigation maintained that Mr. Akande had no justification to assault the student ordering him to tender an apology to the victim, while he was also suspended from invigilation till the end of the exam.
