The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola has alleged that the family of the Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke has some shareholdings in Segilola Mining firm.
Oyetola through his spokesperson, Ismail Omidipan, while reacting to the news by the state government that it had resuscitated Osun shareholding in Segilola Resources Operating Limited, noted that the government is not sincere with the people of the state.
According to Omipidan in a statement on Tuesday, the choice of the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye, as the state’s representative on the board of Segilola showed that Adeleke has something to hide.
He said, “If the government is sincere, how come it is finding it difficult to disclose to Osun citizens that the Adelekes have some shareholdings in Segilola Mining firm?
“Also, why name the Chief of Staff to the governor, Hon. Kazeem Akinleye, who is one of those overseeing the Adelekes’ investments in Osun government and beyond as the state’s representative on the board of Segilola and not Prof. Lukman Jumoda, the Special Adviser on Mining and Mineral Matters, if it had nothing to hide?.”
