The foremost Tinubu’s group; The Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF has commiserated with the widow and the entire family of Captain Joseph Din on his glorious exit to the great beyond. Captain Din, a former Commander of Nigerian Army Ordnance Corps, Yaba, died on Saturday at Reddington Hospital, Victoria Island, Lagos at 84. He was also Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Elders’ Advisory Council in Plateau State.
In a statement released in Lagos by the National Publicity Secretary of AGF, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo, the Foundation sympathise with the family of Captain Din especially the widow, Mama Joseph Din and the Director of News at the TVC News, Stella Din.
According to the statement, the AGF urged the family, loved ones and well-wishers of Din’s family to take solace in the fact that the deceased Captain lived an exemplary and selfless life towards the betterment and development of society.
“On behalf of the National Executive Council members of AGF, the State Executive Members, members in diaspora and the entire members and management of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, AGF, I write to commiserate with the entire family of Captain Din on his death especially the widow, her children, members of APC Elders’ Advisory Council of Plateau State and entire members of APC in Nigeria,” Adebayo wrote.
The Foundation also commiserated with the Plateau State Government under the leadership of HE Simeon Lalong and the people of the State, in general, to take solace in the fact that Captain Joseph Din lived an exemplary life.
“We joined our Principal, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to commiserate also with the government and people of Plateau state under the able leadership of His Excellency Simeon Lalong on the demise. Though Captain Din died at the ripe age of 84 it is always sad to lose a loved and amiable personality like Captain Din at any age because of the character he possessed while here on earth. He was selfless, committed to the tenets of progressive politics, very hardworking, humane and loving. We pray God in his mercy to give the widow, family members, government and people of Plateau state, APC family and indeed all good wishers to bear this great loss. The Captain will be greatly missed” Adebayo concluded.
