A leading socio-political movement, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF) on Tuesday joined Nigerians across all works of life to congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari on his 77th birthday.
According to a statement signed by the Foundation’s National Coordinator, Hon. Olateju Ishola in Abuja, eulogised President Buhari’s feats over the years and rejoiced with his family and associates for Allah’s protection over him.
The Foundation noted that Buhari’s achievements had thrown him into the limelight at an early age, particularly highlighting his sacrifices in public service at both state and national levels.
“As a former Governor, former minister, former military head of state and now as civilian president, AGF affirmed that the president pivotal and visionary leadership is preparing the country for a better and prosperous future. President Buhari is a role model to Nigerian ruling class and the majority of youths to see public office as an opportunity to serve and not to amass wealth.
Olateju, therefore, extolled President’s commitment and patriotism to the country and the cause of building a strong and unified nation.
According to him, Buhari has consistently challenged government and leaders to higher ideals, and remind them to think out of the box in ameliorating the needs of the poor and vulnerable in the society.
Olateju believed that the President good-nature, large heart and broad outlook on issues has impacted positively on party politics and democracy in Nigeria.
He prayed that almighty God would grant President Buhari longer life, strength and wisdom to serve more.
