Al Ahly striker, Junior Ajayi is excited to have made his debut for the Super Eagles but remains determined to getting more minutes to justify his inclusion in the team.
Ajayi made a cameo appearance in Nigeria’s 2-0 loss to Serbia when he came on for Alex Iwobi with three minutes left to play.
The former CS Sfaxien star however bemoans the loss to the Serbians.
“It was a dream come true but I wished I had more time but I will work hard to get another chance to play more,” Ajayi told CSN.
“There are more friendly games to be played before the World Cup and I hope to get in another chance. The result was not what we wanted but there are positives to be learnt from it.”
On his experience in the team, the former Shooting Stars striker added that he learnt some tricks from Changchun Yatai striker, Odion Ighalo.
“We learn everyday and I did learn some tips from Ighalo who was so pleasant in camp.”
