A group, Ife/Ijesa Peace Forum has condemned those faulting the interventions of the lawmaker representing Osun East, Senator Francis Fadahunsi, over the Akinlalu killings.
OSUN DEFENDER had reported that the lawmaker on Friday, admitted that he informed the Police Force about the unwarranted killings at Akinlalu, leading to the sealing-off of Amotekun’s Operational offices in Osogbo and Ife Central.
But a group, the Concerned Youths of Ife-Ijesa For Good Governance and Security Stability in Osun State said Fadahunsi’s statement was “reckless and arrogant”
However, in a swift reaction, the Coordinator of Ife/Ijesa Peace Forum, Prince Adeyemi Oyeyemi, said the “unknown group” was heartless for placing politics over human lives.
According to Adeyemi, “It was laughable to see the statement by the unknown group hired by some coward politicians attacking our proactive Federal lawmaker, Senator Fadahunsi.
“I’m very sure they are novice when it comes to constitutional issues, otherwise, they wouldn’t have taken pleasure in the atrocities being perpetrated by Amotekun under Omoyele in Osun state.

“How many of the group members have visited Akinlalu since September 30? It is only those who pray for the same fate presently being faced by Oyebamiji and Olutayo family that will condemn what Senator Fadahunsi did.
“So you expected Fadahunsi to fold his arms, looking at Amotekun under whatever guise, brutally killing and maiming his constituents? No way. That will never happen. This is not about politics, it is about value for lives and property of Ife/Ijesa people.
“Are you proud of what Amotekun did in Akinlalu on September 30? Something that the whole world has condemned and continues to condemn. Why are people so heartless? Why are human lives so worthless to the faceless group? Is blood running in your vein at all? Definitely, you need to be checked upstairs.
“Take a walk across Ife/Ijesa district and get people’s reaction about Amotekun, you will know that Omoyele has soiled the agency’s name. Senator Fadahunsi is a peaceful man and he won’t allow some irritants to truncate the peace being enjoyed by the people of Ife/Ijesa.”
