Alaafin Of Oyo’s Daughter Bags Unilag Best Graduating Master’s Student

The daughter of the Alaafin of Oyo, Adedoja Adeyemi, has graduated as the best master’s student from the University of Lagos.
It was gathered that the monarch’s daughter received a master’s degree in African and Diaspora Studies from the University of Lagos, graduating as the best student from her set.

In the MA program, she got a CGPA of 4.63 (distinction). Doja became the first scholar to graduate with honours from the institute since it opened in 2017.

The post of the Instagram account of Alaafin reads, “The daughter of the Alaafin of Oyo also graduated from the Master’s program in the category of first-class from the Department of History and international studies.”

The institution in a post on their account had written, “The Institute of African and Diaspora Studies is delighted to announce ADEYEMI Adedoja Aminat as the best graduating Student for the 2019/2020 Academic year.


“Adedoja emerged as the best graduating student in the MA programme with a CGPA of 4.63 (Distinction).

“This also makes her the first student to graduate with a distinction from the Institute since its inception in 2017. The Institute congratulates and celebrates her for this great achievement.”
