We Allowed Certified Thieves To Rule Us In Nigeria – Oloyede Laments

By Toba Adedeji
The Registrar of Joint Admission Matriculation Board, Professor Is-haq has said, “Nigerians allowed certified thieves to rule the nation”.
The Registrar made this expression during the 3rd Raufnomics in the Transformation of Osun Colloquium in Osogbo.
Prof. Oloyede while highlighting factors mitigating against Education and the development of Nigeria emphasized on corruption as a great menace that has affected the state of things.
According to him, ” We purposefully elected certified thieves to rule us. After President Buhari came into power and he said he needed to attend to corruption many traducers are knocking him for what he said but they have forgotten that corruption is responsible for the state of the nation now. If we don’t struggle to fight corruption, poverty can’t be alleviated”.
Using JAMB as an example, “JAMB was established about 22 years ago the money remitted by JAMB before I was appointed was N52 million but when we conducted the first exam when I got their we realised N9 billion.”
He said, “Don’t let us be misguided by greediness in electing our leaders.
