Alowonle Arrested, Shot In Police Custody – Osun Park Managers
Chairman, Osun Park Management System, Nurudeen Wakeel Alowonle was shot in police custody on Monday night.
A statement by Alhaji Mukaila Popoola, State Secretary of OSTMS said the Chairman was arrested by the police over domestic issues, and shot under circumstances that call for thorough investigations.
Osun Defender had reported that Alowonle, an aide to Governor Ademola Adeleke, was arrested with a pistol, allegedly belonging to the police.

Popoola said, “It was also reliably gathered that Alowonle was receiving treatment at a government medical facility in Osogbo after sustaining injuries when he attempted to flee with handcuffs on him.
“In a statement signed by the State Secretary, Mikaela Popoola, the OSTMS said its chairman was arrested over domestic issues and was taken to the police custody.
“Our chairman was shot at police custody under circumstances that call for thorough investigations.
“We call on our members not to take laws into their hands. We must maintain peace across the parks while we take the matter up with the appropriate authorities,” the OSTMS secretary said.
