Amotekun, AGF Commends South West Governors, Asks Other Zones To Emulate

The Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, a political Group, propagating and promoting the political ideology of APC national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended the Governors of South western states for coming up with a security outfit that will complement the effort of Nigerian security agencies in combating criminals in the south west.

In a statement released today in Ijebu-Ijesa, state of Osun, by the National Coordinator of the Group, Olateju Adunni Olorungbebe, the group insisted that the South west Governors has shown courage and determination in their effort to rid the region off criminals.

The Group however urged others Governors to emulate the south west in providing lasting solution to issue of insecurity across the country.

“The best way to end insecurity is for all the Governors in the country to emulate their south west counterparts and come up with their own local security arrangement that will complement the effort of our national security outfits,” Olateju said.

Olateju in the statement also, advised individuals that will be employed into the outfit to see their employment as a way of contributing their own quota to their nation as well as an opportunity to portray themselves as capable of doing the assignment given to them.

“The Amotekuns, should not see themselves as competitors with other security agencies but an agency for unity and development” Olateju concluded.
