Al Khartoum Watani’s Nigerian coach, Emmanuel Amuneke recorded his third win in the Sudani top flight division Wednesday night by beating Al Wadi 1-0.
Mohamed Musa scored the only goal of the encounter in the 42nd minute which separated both teams.
The win sees Amuneke’s men change positions to the fifth on the Sudanese League table with 11 points from seven games.
The former Sudanese Champions have also drawn two games and lost twice as well so far this season.
Al Khartoum Watani are three points off current leaders Merreikh El-Fasher who have 14 points from seven games.
Al Khartoum Watani will face Ahli Marawi in a rescheduled game next Monday.
Amuneke, who led Nigeria’s U-17 side the Golden Eaglets, to the world title in 2015, joined Al Khartoum Watani at the beginning of the current season.
