Anambra 2025: PDP Presents Ezenwafor, Okeke As Governorship, Deputy Candidates
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has submitted the names of Ezenwafor Jude as its governorship candidate and Okeke Chukwudi as his running mate for the November 8, 2025, Anambra State election.
The submission was made in a letter dated May 7, 2025, and received by the Office of the INEC Chairman on May 12.
Signed by the PDP’s Acting National Chairman, Ambassador Umar Damagum, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the letter confirmed that the party’s primary election in Anambra, which produced Ezenwafor, was monitored by INEC.
“We write to inform the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that Ezenwafor Jude C. is the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP’s) Gubernatorial Candidate for the November 08, 2025 Anambra State Gubernatorial Election, having emerged winner of the Party’s Gubernatorial Primary in Anambra State monitored by the Commission,” the letter read.
The PDP also disclosed Hon. Okeke Francis Chukwudi as Ezenwafor’s running mate.
To meet INEC’s requirements, the party submitted the necessary documents, including Forms EC-9, EC-9B, and EC-13B for both candidates.
The party urged the commission to acknowledge receipt and reaffirmed its commitment to due process.
