Another Crisis Hits Ife PDP

By Sodiq Lawal

As the Osun governorship election is fast approaching, crisis is weighing bitterly in the Peoples Democratic Party, Ile Ife branch.

Members of the party including chieftains have been defecting to the All Progressives Congress(APC).

The defectors cited confusion, leadership crisis, lack of focus and no desirable agenda for Ife sons and daughters, as the reasons for their decision.

It was confirmed to our correspondent on Wednesday that some supporters of Senator Iyiola Omisore who are still under PDP clashed with supporters of Chief Gbenga Owolabi who is aspiring for the post of Osun Governor under PDP.

Sources confirmed that they engaged each other with charms and harmful weapons which led many injured.

It was said that the supporters of Chief Owolabi believed that the supporters of Omisore who are still under PDP are spies and should not be seen delving into party matters.
