APC Announces NEC Meeting Date, To Pick Ganduje’s Successor
The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced July 24 as the date for the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party.
The NWC said a new national chairman of the party will be nominated on that day.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that APC’s former chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, resigned his appointment last Friday.
In the interim, Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, was appointed as Acting National Chairman and formally assumed office on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after an emergency NWC meeting at the party’s national secretariat, Deputy National Secretary Barrister Festus Fuanter confirmed the NEC meeting date and said a formal notice has already been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
