APC Chairman, Yilwatda Visits El-Rufai Over Mother’s Death
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, on Saturday paid a condolence visit to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, over his mother’s death.
Yilwatda visited the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory at his residence in Abuja to commiserate with him for the death of his mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, who passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, in Cairo, Egypt, after a period of illness.
Several prominent political figures have also visited El-Rufai to offer their condolences at his Abuja residence following his temporary release by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission.

Among those who have paid visits are Katsina State Governor Dikko Umar Radda; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar; former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi; former Attorney-General of the Federation Abubakar Malami; and Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
