The Court of Appeal in Abuja has overturned a Federal High Court judgment concerning the Rivers State local government elections.
In its ruling, the Appeal Court declared that the Federal High Court lacked jurisdiction to hear the suit filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC), the first respondent in the case.

As a result, all orders and decisions made by the Federal High Court regarding the matter were set aside.
This judgment effectively reinstates the validity of the Rivers State local government election, nullifying the earlier ruling that sought to challenge its legitimacy.
